What counts as a check?

One check is one label run through Complion: every element on it reviewed against the rules for the markets you sell in, with a ready fix drafted for each issue it finds.

How long does a check take?

About 2 minutes for the AI to check the label and draft the fixes. A compliance expert on our team then reviews the result.

Which markets and regulations do you cover?

FDA 21 CFR and USDA for the US, and Health Canada and CFIA for Canada, including bilingual labeling rules. Nutrition Facts, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, and on-pack claims are all checked.

How accurate is it, and does a person review it?

Complion checks against the regulations that apply to your product, and every flag names the rule it comes from. It reads every line on every label, which is where a fast human review slips. After the AI check, a compliance expert on our team reviews the findings and fixes, and makes the call on anything borderline.

What happens if I hit my check limit?

You can move up a plan at any time and the higher limit applies straight away. If you need more volume than Professional includes, contact us about an Enterprise plan.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plans are billed monthly with no annual contract, and you can cancel whenever you like.

Is my label data kept confidential?

Yes. Your labels and product details are used only to run your checks, are never shared outside the team working on them, and we are happy to sign an NDA before you upload anything if you would like one in place.

Is this legally binding regulatory approval?

No, and no tool or service can give you that: the FDA and CFIA do not pre-approve most food labels, so the responsibility to be compliant always sits with the brand. What you get is a label checked against the current rules and reviewed by a compliance expert, so it stands up to the same review a regulator or retail buyer would run.
